Dynamic search suggestion

Whew! It has been a long time since I blogged. There has been a flurry of activities here Become.com. We recently closed our second round of funding of $7.2M with Transcosmos as a lead at $5M and many Silicon Valley angel investors like Ron Conway and Bob Conway.

Today we launched dynamic search suggestion on Become.com to help users anticipate what they are typing and show different suggestions. For example, if you type in "massage chair" it will show "spa, robotic, portable, panasonic" and other popular words that go with massage chair. I think it is really good and we are getting really great reception from early users. Here is a blog post on search engine threadwatch blog site. I would love to get your thoughts and feedback on this.

We also recently launched our spell checker technology that is focused on products and shopping with high degree of accuracy.

The traffic to our site is really taking off. It's been doubling every month since we launched the beta couple of months ago.

Tomorrow, I will be speaking as a panelist at ConsumerReports' WebWatch conference at Berkeley, CA on issues of trust around search engines which should be really interesting.
